Meet Our Founder Richard Duncan
“As a practitioner within a busy London clinic, I found myself not heeding the advice I was requesting of my patients. Due to the nature and demand of my work, it meant long hours, missing meals, not eating to time and consuming more sugars for energy than enjoying a balanced, nutritious snack or meal.
Working lunches or lunch cut short to attend to paperwork. As a result, my afternoons weren’t as good as my mornings. I was sluggish and tired, with low energy with occasional aching muscles and joints. I knew my symptoms had to be down to my nutrition or lack thereof, as I had a cleaned bill of health from my medicals a month earlier. I knew I wasn’t going to make drastic changes to my working environment, but was determined to make small changes to help my body.”
Having to Supplement to Attain Missing Nutrients
I needed to supplement, as a vegan, to attain the missing nutrients, not present in a meat free diet. If I was going to achieve hormone balance, protein balance, and have the energy that I needed for sustained metabolic performance, quality supplementation was going to be essential. I tried various brands, which were suitable, but they were filled with much of the things that made it taste great, that I didn’t want in my body.
Pharmaceutical Quality but Healthier and More Organic
I was in need of a product that was of pharmaceutical quality, that was plant-based and rooted in the earthy goodness that nature provides.
Supplementation that was free from additives and preservatives, free from artificial colour, free from fillers, gluten–free, free from dextrose and artificial sweeteners, GMO–free, free from corn syrup, a brand that’s suitable for vegans and diabetics, with some ranges meeting kosher acceptance and quality. Anyone would think I was asking a lot. It was challenging!!!
Removing the nasties from the products should have been easy and cheaper, but it had the reverse effect, making the cost per unit increase. After months of searching and researching, a colleague introduced me to someone who was on a similar journey who introduced me to a manufacturer who was willing to deliver my vision. In 2016 the vision was made a reality, but there were many hiccups along the way which gave birth to LordeGold.”

These flavours include, cocoa, vanilla, mint, with natural steviol plant extract, as a sweetener used in some products to influence the taste, making the product suitable for diabetics. The product in its raw state, allows you to add and create your own unique taste and flavours by adding berries, fruit juices, and dairy products.
